Two perspectives. One person.

Psychologist • Psycho-oncologist • Social Skills Trainer. Sixth-year medical student.

I see the person more broadly.
My name is Aida Muweis – I am a psychologist running my own practice, the Specialist Psychology Practice in Kraków, a psycho-oncologist and a social skills trainer. I am a sixth-year medical student. I combine a psychological perspective with medical knowledge in order to see the whole person – with attention to their mind, body, emotions and individual story.
From the very start of my professional path I have been especially interested in the person in all their complexity. Not only their symptoms or a specific problem, but also what lies behind them – emotions, relationships, experiences and the way they function day to day.

Mind and body
What connects us helps us understand.
Psychology taught me to listen carefully, to notice what often stays unspoken, and to look at each person individually. Medicine, in turn, helps me understand the workings of the body even better, along with the links between mental and physical health.
This combination of two perspectives is one of the most important elements of how I approach a person and my work.
My approach
How I work
- 01
Authenticity
A real relationship instead of a script.
- 02
Attentiveness
To your story, pace and needs.
- 03
A sense of safety
A space where you can speak openly.
In contact with another person I value authenticity, attentiveness and a sense of safety above all. I do not believe in one universal solution – every person has their own story, needs, pace and way of experiencing the world.
It matters to me that professional knowledge goes hand in hand with a human approach and a genuine relationship. In my work I draw on psychological knowledge, psycho-oncological experience and medical knowledge that I keep developing.
I feel especially close to an approach in which mind and body are connected, and a person's difficulties are considered within the wider context of their life.
Beyond the professional role
Who I am outside the office
I am a calm, ambitious, patient person, curious about the world and about people. I like to learn, grow and connect different fields of knowledge. I enjoy looking at the same questions from different perspectives and constantly broadening my horizons.
I believe a person should not be defined solely by their work, a diagnosis or the difficulties they come with.
That is why in the office I try, first of all, to see the person – and only then their problem.
